W.A.S.H. (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene)
Through our WASH program, efforts are made to create initiative and momentum for the adoption of proper and safe sanitation and hygiene practices. Our flagship program of the vertical - ‘Swaachtam’ aims to foster pride, ownership and accountability towards public hygiene. This community-driven project aims to encourage positive behaviour change in community members to bring about cleanliness in their surroundings. Through the establishment of a dry waste collection centre and facilitating door-to-door collection of waste from 603 households, the project promotes good waste management practices. Till date, 4,877 kgs of dry waste has been recycled and as value-addition have provided job opportunities to local community members.

Through the establishment of a dry waste collection centre and facilitating door-to-door collection of waste from 603 households, benefitting 5,673 community members, the project promotes good waste management practices. Till date, 4,877 kgs of dry waste has been recycled and as value-addition have provided job opportunities to local community members.
- Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management is a critical aspect of overall health of adolescent girls and women, especially when access to right knowledge and sanitation needs are challenging in rural areas. Interventions at PRI emphasize on improvement in Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices of girls and women on menstrual health along with refurbishment of WASH facilities. Also, reducing the social barriers for improvement in girls’ attendance at school during menstruation is a major program objective. 4,500 beneficiaries including adolescent girls and women shall be benefitted under this program in Behror and 12,500+ girls and women in Nashik.
- Waste water management in streets, awareness on WASH in schools, Water ATMs at NITI Ayog identified aspirational districts, and installation of handwashing stations are some other major interventions under WASH sector.
